Keeping shower enclosures clean and free of scale: Use Sealskin shower cleaner, vinegar or liquid soap. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive products.

Maintaining Whirl pool baths It is essential to clean a whirlpool as good maintenance is important. The cleaning system clears dirt particles such as hair and soap from the water pipes, after which you can clean the bath and the pipes with the whirlpool cleaner.

Maintaining shower screens: When maintaining shower screens it is essential to dry the glass using a rubber window squeegee or a cotton cloth after the shower has been used. This prevents dirt and scale build-up. If scale does start to form, use an agent such as household vinegar. NEVER use abrasive, aggressive, acidic or alkaline cleaning agents. For daily shower maintenance, Sealskin has a rubber window squeegee with a handy storage hook. Maintaining shower screens with Seal glass treatment: It is also important to dry the glass surface with a cotton cloth or rubber window squeegee if your shower screen has had a seal glass treatment. To ensure that your Seal glass treatment has a long life, Sealskin recommends using Sealskin shower cleaner. This gentle cleaning agent cleans the glass surface but does not harm the Seal glass surface. You can order this product from your Sealskin dealer.

Preventing scale damage on Sealskin baths: Preventative measures must also be taken against scale damage in Sealskin baths. Dry the bath after use. Scale and dirt can be removed using household vinegar. A regular cleaning agent can be used for daily cleaning. NEVER use abrasive products.

Preventing mould on shower curtains: Soap and, wear and tear stains can be removed by washing a fabric shower curtain at 30 degrees, using a delicate liquid detergent. A shot of household vinegar can also be added.

Washing acrylic mats: Always wash the bath mat at 40 degrees using a delicate washing powder. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents which contain chlorine as they can damage latex rugs. If you dry the mat in the tumble dryer always do so at a low temperature. It is preferable to have large mats wet washed at the dry cleaners (i.e. not dry cleaned using chemical agents!) rather than washing them yourself in the bath tub.

Cleaning teak mats: Every so often thoroughly spray the mat with clean water and leave the mat to dry naturally – for example outside. Nevertheless it is still a natural product so body oil/cream etc. may soak in and leave stains.

Washing safety mats: These mats are machine washable at 40 degrees. Do not tumble dry but hang to dry naturally.
